Description:

Situated one hour south of Dargaville on the Pouto Peninsular is this working farm set in a remote location. Campsites are either side of the estuary at Sheehans Creek. There is no power, or shops, so come well prepared. The toilets are of the long drop variety and the camp is rustic, but If you wish for quiet and solitude this is the place to come. Activities include: fishing off the beach, setting the net for bait and flounders, watching the varied bird life in and around the creek. From here you can visit the fresh water lakes on the sand dunes, tramp several different routes or visit the historic lighthouse. Please phone before coming.
