This delightful camp is in Waihi township tucked into a hidden valley 10 minutes from Waihi Beach and the Karangahake Gorge walkways, and the newly appointed Hauraki rail trail. There are 52 powered sites and unlimited tent space spread across 10 acres of park-like grounds. Try down by the river, close to the facilities or in the wide open spaces surrounded by mature trees and gardens. It might be fun to take a walk to the gold and silver mines. The kids will love chucking bread for the ducks, petting the pigs, giving the Suffolk sheep a pat, or feeding the trout in the stream. They can then burn off some energy in the large outdoor swimming pool, while the adults enjoy a well-appointed kitchen with stoves, microwaves and fridge with outdoor BBQ/dining pergola alongside.
