A restored country hotel and restaurant forms the hub of the community, and administers the delightful little camp nearby. The campsites are nestled on a bush-ringed knoll, with the tinkling sounds of the stream below. There are just 6 powered sites but plenty of room for tents. An oasis of hot thermal pools can be found in a private grotto, there are walking tracks through the bush, and the waterfalls of the Waihou River close by. A 9-hole golf course is right beside the camp. The simple facilities have character, and include separate toilets and a single shower.
