11 km north of Thames, at the gateway to the western Coromandel coast, this mature attractive camp, in a garden-setting, offers a range of casual campsites amongst the well-tended weekenders. Easy access to the beach makes it a popular spot for boaties, and the camp offers boat parking, a boat wash and fish cleaning facilities. Powered sites have hard stands for vans, and tents can be accommodated in a new grassy glade near the rear of the camp. The central, smart amenities are tiled, with metered showers and there are 3 other toilet blocks provided. The well-used kitchen has island sinks, with plenty of appliances; or head outside to the picnic and BBQ shelter for alfresco dining.
