This holiday park is on the site of the old Whangapoua Forestry Headquarters. It Is located at the top of the Whangapoua Harbour on a large area of flat rural land. Just beyond the harbour is the iconic Whangapoua Beach and the
stunning world renowned New Chum Beach.The beach has been voted “one of the top twenty beaches In the world and is an unspoilt paradise accessible only by foot. Matarangi Beach and two boat ramps are within 10km radius and there is a café just 200m from the park. No dogs are permitted. The park is within the Whangapoua Kiwi Habitat zone. A restored modern clean kitchen has a large sun deck There is an ablution block complete with hot water showers, toilets and laundry facilities. The camping area is large and flat so can easily cater for large vehicles. Fresh water is available, wifi available, and new playground has just been installed. The camp is 6km from the beginning of the New Chum’s Beach walk. Seasonal rates apply and the camp is closed from May to October.
