Easy to find, this large park is beside the Waitangi River, and an easy drive to Paihia approx. 6 km away At the entrance is a well stocked shop and office. The grounds are level with lovely mature trees, a children’s play area, flying fox, swimming pool and BBQ. The river is safe for swimming, you can hire a kayak. The main kitchen is very pleasant, light and airy with absolutely everything. Adjacent is a roomy dining/lounge/TV area with a DVD. A second kitchen is basic and is next to the ablutions The laundry is well equipped with automatic machines. A few dining spots are set on the banks of the river with a views across the water. A dump station is available Many of the tours will pick up from here. Prices may vary seasonally.
