Only 20 minutes from Balclutha, this rural camp between Kaka Point and Owaka is an ideal place to base yourselves when you are visiting the Catlins. Set amongst farmland, the hills around the camp give it a peaceful air, and campers are encouraged to meet and mingle. There is a coin operated washing machine and drier, and the ablution block is clean and tidy, while work is going on to increase the amenities. The kitchen is somewhat basic, a shed without windows, but there Is a vending machine and hot running water outside to wash dishes. You can borrow a DVD and wifi is available, both free of charge. All day breakfasts, pizzas and some takeaways are available as well as some free veg in summer. Kevin and Sue are your very friendly hosts. Powered sites are also available.
