Kawhia Camping Ground

From the town centre, follow the signs to the boat ramp at Karewa Beach and you’ll spot this camp on the way. The closest camp to the hotwater beach springs (4 km away) you can borrow a spade to create your personal ‘beach spa’. The grounds are pleasantly landscaped with level lawn sites backing onto avenues of willow trees. There are 14 powered sites available for travellers. The kitchen is light and airy with microwave, full stove, hobs, fridge and freezer and an outdoor dining nook. In the ablutions block the free showers have been modernised and a new disabled access/family suite is provided. There is a porch-style automatic laundry. A fish cleaning area and fish smoker are here. Pets by arrangement. Under 4 years are free. Seasonal rates apply
